My thrift store find

Right now, there is a dear sweet quilter looking down from heaven waiting on me to finish her UFOs. A few months ago, I found large black bags at the local Hospice thrift store marked "quilting". They were $2 a bag. I bought 8 bags, hide them in the trunk of my car until David was out playing golf, then I spent an afternoon going through them. Someone had cut enough fabric to do about three full size "Drunkard's Path" quilt and several quilts from four inch squares in pinks and yellows. I have two little granddaughters who are going to love these quilts. There are also bags of 1 1/2 inch strips and a few log cabins blocks already made. Also in those bags was nine patch blocks of various Christmas prints...looks like enough to make a King Size quilt. As soon as I get one of these finished, I'll post a picture. Let me warn you though, I am very slow. In with the cut fabric was several yards of cute prints. I made the granddaughters, Keltie and Samantha two outfits each.

My First Blog

I am really excited about blogging. I am not sure where I am going with this but at least I am starting something new.
